Effective Date: September 14, 2026Last Updated: September 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Verdict Team ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, processes, and protects your information when you use The Verdict.

I. Information We Collect

1. Information You Provide

We collect information you voluntarily provide when registering, creating a case, participating in a courtroom session, or contacting us.

2. Account Information

To use the Platform, you may provide basic account details, such as an email address, display name, and avatar image.

3. Discord Account & Identifiers

Because live courts are hosted on Discord, we collect your Discord User ID, username, and authentication tokens to verify your identity, invite you to voice channels, and link your platform account with your Discord presence.

4. Case & Court Information

When you create a case, we collect the case title, description of the dispute, relationship context, the names/aliases of the participants, and whether the court is configured as Public or Private.

5. Voice & Audio Information

During a live courtroom session, your voice is transmitted and processed in real-time to facilitate the AI Judge's responses. We do not guarantee permanent storage of raw audio files, but audio streams are processed to generate transcripts.

6. Transcripts & Conversation Content

The audio from your courtroom session is converted into text transcripts. These transcripts are processed by our AI models to generate judge interactions and rulings. Transcripts may be stored alongside your case data.

7. Evidence Uploaded by Users

If you upload files, images, or screenshots ("Evidence") to support your case, we collect and store those files on our servers. You should not upload evidence containing sensitive personal data, financial information, or explicit content.

8. AI-Generated Content & Verdicts

We store the prompts sent to the AI, the AI Judge's spoken/text responses, and the final ruling generated for your case.

9. Jury Votes & Public Participation

If you participate in a Public Court as an audience member, we collect your voting history, chat messages, and interactions with the session.

10. Technical, Device & Log Info

We automatically collect technical data such as IP addresses, browser types, device identifiers, and platform usage logs to ensure security and maintain functionality.

11. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how users interact with our website.

12. Payment Information

If you make a purchase, payment details are collected directly by our payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Razorpay). We do not collect or store full credit card numbers on our servers; we only store transaction statuses and receipts.

II. How Information Is Used

13. Core Operations

We use your information strictly to operate the Platform, facilitate the AI courtroom experience, moderate sessions, process payments, and provide customer support.

14. AI Processing

Your transcripts, case details, and evidence are sent to third-party AI models to generate the courtroom experience. We do not explicitly claim that our AI providers will not use this data for model training unless specifically configured by us via enterprise agreements. Avoid sharing highly sensitive personal information.

III. Third-Party Service Providers

15. General Infrastructure

The Verdict relies on specialized third-party infrastructure. Data processed by these providers is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.

16. Discord

Discord manages the live voice infrastructure, channel permissions, and identity verification. Voice data transmitted through Discord is governed by Discord's privacy policy.

17. Google Cloud, Vertex AI, & Gemini

We utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI (Gemini) for application hosting and artificial intelligence processing. Case context and conversational transcripts are transmitted to these APIs for analysis and generation of the AI Judge's responses.

18. Fish Audio (Voice Synthesis)

Where applicable, text generated by the AI Judge is sent to voice synthesis providers like Fish Audio to render the Judge's spoken voice.

19. Cloudflare

We use Cloudflare for DNS routing, Content Delivery Network (CDN) services, and security (DDoS protection). Cloudflare may process IP addresses and web request metadata.

20. Firebase

We use Firebase (a Google service) for user authentication, real-time database functions, and storage of evidence assets.

21. Stripe & Razorpay

Financial transactions are securely processed by Stripe (US/Global) or Razorpay (India), depending on your region.

22. Social & Livestream Providers

If a Public Court is livestreamed or clipped (as a future planned feature), content may be transmitted to platforms like YouTube, Twitch, or TikTok in accordance with their respective policies.

IV. Data Management & Security

23. Data Retention Periods

We retain your account information, case data, transcripts, and evidence for as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion, unless you request deletion or we are required by law to retain it.

24. Public vs. Private Court Data

Private Courts: Data submitted in a private court is restricted to participants, system administrators, and AI processing APIs.

Public Courts: By selecting a public court, you consent that your case details, evidence, voice, and transcripts may be displayed publicly on our website, visible to audiences, and potentially indexable by search engines or shared on social media.

25. Security Measures

We implement commercially reasonable technical safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security or regulatory certifications (e.g., SOC 2) unless explicitly stated.

26. International Data Transfers

The Verdict operates globally. Your data may be transferred to, and processed in, the United States, India, or other countries where our third-party infrastructure providers operate. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer.
